On the current state of cinema

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Few would dispute that the cinematic landscape has undergone profound transformations in recent years. As digital technologies have taken hold, they have systematically reshaped every facet of film production, distribution, and exhibition. Likewise, the rise of AI-driven streaming platforms and sophisticated algorithms has not only redefined how films are discovered and consumed, but also challenged traditional conceptions of what cinema is, what it does, and what it can do.
