Abstract

Modular integrated construction is currently the green construction method with the highest degree of industrialization in new buildings, which meets the demand for high-quality development of intelligent construction and building industrialization. Modular buildings using concrete shear walls for lateral resistance are particularly suitable for high-rise residential buildings. According to the characteristics of composite construction, the common structures of concrete modular buildings are Box-template systems, modular-composite systems, and modular-superimposed systems. This paper has analyzed the characteristics, shortcomings, and current development status of various modular buildings through case studies. Finally, thoughts and suggestions are put forward for the future development of modular concrete buildings.
