Opportunity lost and (re)written out : LGBTI content in Australia's "new" National Health and Physical Education curriculum

Research output: Chapter in Book / Conference PaperChapter

Abstract

The Health and Physical Education curriculum engages students in critical inquiry processes that assist students in researching, analysing, applying and appraising knowledge in health and movement fields. In doing so, students will critically analyse and critically evaluate contextual factors that influence decision making, behaviours and actions, and explore inclusiveness, power inequalities, taken-for-granted assumptions, diversity and social justice (emphasis added, ACARA 2014, 5).
