Abstract
![CDATA[In this response essay I would like to address two issues that bear some restatement in light of persistent criticisms of Gibson-Graham's work. One is the issue of analytical 'optimism' and the other is the perceived scalar limitations of the place-based politics Gibson-Graham outlines.]]
