Abstract
![CDATA[The central focus of this paper is an investigation of how students in the School of Education at University of Western Sydney (UWS) use a web site that has been designed to assist them overcome some of the barriers they have in the preparation of tertiary assignments. At UWS teacher education, in general, is by graduate entry with up to one third of students completing their undergraduate qualifications in a country other than Australia and in a language other than English (Kell and Gregson 2006). The participants have undergraduate degrees from a wide range of disciplines, universities and countries. With such diverse backgrounds comes a diversity of writing and referencing quality.]]
