How has parenting changed with the introduction of smartphones and social media? Parenting in the smart age examines the ways in which parents and young people in urban Fiji manage the use of technologies in their day-to-day lives. From questions about how much screen time is too much to struggles over keeping images and conversations private, the documentary explores how Fijians – and Fijian society at large – is coping with the challenges and opportunities of living in an age of “smart” communication technologies.
