    Abstract

Pasifika Achievement To Higher Education (PATHE) strives to develop aspirations towards further education & training in Pacific communities. Through this community-based initiative, PATHE promotes the ability and options for Pacific people to develop and gain new skills and new knowledge, leading to greater opportunities across life. PATHE Vocational Videos is one part of PATHE’s innovative projects that seeks to further engage community and provide accessible resources. Specific vocational areas utilised in the videos were profiled from feedback on future aspirations given by over 700 Pacific young people. Packaged as a series of 18 vocational videos, this resource highlights interest areas and personal journeys of Pacific people perusing careers in various vocations. These short films complement the current PATHE outreach activities and can be used as an additional resource across the wider community. PATHE Vocational Videos are accompanied by a study guide to further assist in creating ongoing and meaningful conversations with Pacific people; to build aspirations towards further education and training through developing and achieving vocational and career goals. Accompanied by a Study Guide. PATHE video launch can be accessed via: http://www.uws.edu.au/pathe/pathe/vocational_videos
