    Abstract

    Aim: To prepare a new organic electrically conductive material suitable for nanobionics applications. Desirable qualities include: biocompatibility; good conductivity; and ease of processing. Conclusion: PEDOT:DS is a promising electromaterial for bionics applications. It has good conductivity, favourable electrochemistry, is easily processed and appears to have low cytotoxicity.
