    Abstract

Coronary angiography remains the gold standard in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). Although noninvasive imaging modalities are gaining ground, angiography is still best suited to differentiating calcification and other artifacts from true luminal stenosis. Section II gives a thorough discussion on the management of patients with CAD and indication for coronary angiography. Here the focus is the technical aspects of the coronary angiogram and available percutaneous interventions (PCIs).
