Abstract

Detailed studies have not been carried out on the transformations of N and P in soil-water-plant systems receiving recycled water or on influencing factors such as application methods or the rate and timing of application. Also, subsequent N and P availability in soil and losses to surface waters and groundwaters have not been studied in detail. The objectives of the present study were to examine the variation of N and P availability in plots irrigated with recycled water, and to identify factors which may influence the availability of N and P in soil receiving the recycled water.
