    Abstract

    Pituri is a narcotic derived from the indigenous Australian shrub Duboisia hopwoodii. Duboisia grows throughout arid and semi-arid Australia, but the best known source for high quality pituriis the sand dune country of the north-eastern Simpson Desert, west of the Mulligan River.
