Abstract
The similarities between the writing of Australian composer Martin Wesley-Smith and Orff are discussed. Wesley-Smith’s 'Flash' from 'Boojum!' and Orff's 'Carmina Burana' and 'Music for Children' are analytically compared for connections in rhythmic energy and playfulness in word setting and musical games.
