Podcasting : a fad with a future

Abstract

![CDATA[Generally, one of the most commonly used Web 2.0 technologies in libraries is the podcast. It is seen to be a low-cost and convenient way of providing information about the library, and as a tool with which library clients will readily interact. Based on discussions with libraries that have introduced podcasts, and the literature, we explored the realities of using podcasts in the library. The planning process utilised by these “early adopters” is examined and critically evaluated. The benefits of podcasts are also discussed.]]
