    Abstract

    This chapter describes the involvement of the foot in rheumatic diseases using examples of commonly presenting features. It outlines the biomechanics of the foot and how disruption of normal function can occur in rheumatic disease. The role of the podiatrist is described in relation to routine and extended scope practice in the management of foot health in patients with rheumatic conditions.
