Abstract
This article will provide an overview of some of the coronial training available to legal professionals in New South Wales. Beginning with an introduction to what the coronial system is, the article will then uncover some of the key barriers experienced by bereaved families who have contact with the coronial system in New South Wales. One of the key issues that can affect people’s experiences of the coronial system is their legal representation. Legal professionals’ capacity to assist families during coronial processes can be undermined by the lack of resources and training opportunities available to them.
