Abstract

"Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration"--UNESCO However, Modern civilisation has been responsible, at least in part, for making the connection and interaction between human development, environment, and their heritage more complex and complicated. This, in turn, has endangered multiple aspects of human existence including their culture and heritage. One of these infamous endangered heritage settlements is located in Iran. Kandovan, in east Azerbaijan province of Iran, is a distinctive heritage and ancient settlement because of its cone-shaped architecture.
