Abstract
This book focuses on project learning in construction project rather than organizational learning because a construction is normally organized around the project, not the entire organization. It is essential to consider the application of project learning in this context as organizational learning theories sometimes fail to recognize the construction industry's nature. We noticed that literature on organizational learning indicated what organizational learning should be rather than what organizational learning actually is, causing difficulties to investigate how the connection between learning and the environment can be understood. Hence, there is a need for a book focus on project context and considering the nature of the construction industry. Project learning is a project team's action to create and share knowledge within and between projects. Experience and knowledge in project are vital, especially in construction projects, where every project has at least one area of risk and uncertainty that may danger the objectives of the project. Experience accumulation and knowledge creation and sharing have notable advantages to both the projects and the organizations include reducing repeatable mistakes and "re-inventing the wheel"Â.
