Abstract
Quality of life (QOL) is important in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer (LARC) treated with neoadjuvant chemoradiation. The correlation of these parameters with biological markers is unknown and here we explore their correlation with circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in a prospective study. The three aims were to document QOL prior to and at week 3 of neoadjuvant long-course chemoradiation in 20 patients, isolate CTCs at same defined time-points and correlate QOL with CTCs.
