Abstract

Two trees in the in the midground leaning outward in the top half of the composition are juxtaposed against the green vegetation and post in the left-hand corner of the picture to create a sense of tension. The white streaks of clouds in the sky are reflected on the yellowish pink that help form the shape of the dark foreground shadows.
