Abstract
This painting aims personify the majesty and scale of the tree depicted in the middle distance which is set against the shapes of the freshly ploughed field and grasses on the foreground. It also depicts human activity, the changed landscape resulting from intensive agriculture and remnant stands of trees which still exist.
