Abstract
This is a theoretical paper on gender and work and family/life (WF/L) in developed Western countries with comprehensive immigration policies. The focus is on the immigrants from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) non-Western backgrounds and the WF/L balance challenges they face as a result of cultural notions of gendered relations in their domestic lives.
