Abstract
Using the environment as a source of mathematical investigations shows students that mathematics is part of the real world. It also shows that mathematics can be effectively integrated with other key learning areas. In particular, English, Science and Technology, Human Society and Its Environment, and Creative Arts are often highlighted.
