Abstract
The paper discusses the potential economic benefits of a simple combined solar tracker/concentrator system based on tilting flat-plane mirrors. The system is aimed at simple roof-mounted situations, where the construction of full two-axis type solar trackers would be inappropriate and expensive. The paper also aims to show that implementing different types of reflectors in solar energy systems, will dramatically improve energy production by means of concentrating and intensifying more sunlight onto a solar cell. The Solar Intensifier unit is designed to increase efficiency and performance of a set of solar panels. The unit was fabricated and tested.
