    Abstract

We appreciate the supportive letter from Senefeld and colleagues (6) on our recent paper (5), and their point is well taken. They suggest a more cautious interpretation of the need for high-intensity priming exercise to improve oxygen uptake (V̇o2) kinetics in uncomplicated type 2 diabetes on the basis that the study design does not rule out the possibility of priming effects of moderate-intensity exercise.
