Abstract

We appreciate Sheng et al.’s thoughtful comments [1] on our study published in Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice [2]. Their comments provided a valuable opportunity to re-examine key methodological considerations in evaluating the utility of fasting plasma glucose (FPG) as a diagnostic marker for hyperglycemia in early pregnancy.
