Abstract
In three short years, securitisation has gone from being the belle of the ball to the villain of the piece. Derivatives, in particular credit derivatives, have also been widely criticised. In this briefing we look at a range of proposals designed to restore confidence and discipline to the securitisation and derivatives markets and how these might work in practice.
