    Abstract

    Editorial: We are delighted to report that the number and quality of manuscripts submitted to Resuscitation continues to rise. We have summarised some of the key papers published in the Journal in 2013. This is the first of two editorials covering 2013 and includes the topics of epidemiology and outcome, prevention of cardiac arrest, basic life support, implementation, defibrillation, and cardiac arrest in special circumstances.
