Abstract
The "contraindicated exercises" theme is a source of heated debate among students and practitioners of Physical Education. This paper presents a new way of looking at these exercises, both with regard to their classification, as the way to address the controversy. The behind-the-neck lat pulldown exercise is used as example to the approach, where the traditional question "why do not perform?" is replaced by the question "why do perform?".
