Abstract

Sound political practices shape society and create pathways for development and solidarity (Van Puymbroeck & Oosterlynck, 2014). Unfortunately, the feature of Bangladesh’s politics is antagonism, which bears domination of the ruling party and oppression of the opposition (Osman, 2010; Uddin, 2017). The government transforms its characteristics and restructures the attitude, practice, and fundamentals of governance and management (Farazmand, 2015). Rather than facilitating democracy, the states increasingly strengthen disciplinary control over all organs of government (Van Puymbroeck & Oosterlynck, 2014). Thus, government power transitions are rarely smooth in Bangladesh.
