Abstract
The purpose of this article is to reflect on how the sport phenomenon is full of gender myths that harden the practices, preventing the full access of people of the different sexes to a diverse range of sports. This consideration, in turn, has the objective of deconstructing the notion that there are separate sports for men or women , and thus suggest the search for alternatives so that these gender barriers are overcome. Sport is a cultural good and, as such, an inalienable human right, and that it should always be an instrument both for the self-expression of the human being and for the expansion of tolerance and coexistence between individuals, whatever the differences they may present among themselves.
