Abstract
Part of the Wood Royal Commissions recommendations was to make the NSW Police a more accountable organisation through performance management in initiatives. In 1999, Professor Ed Davis of the Macquarie Graduate School of Management received a collaborative research grant to begin studying the Operations and Crime Reviews (OCRs) performance management system which the New South Wales Police Service had implemented the previous year.
