    Abstract

    The SABEL HDR Supervisory Standards establish eight standards for excellent Higher Degree Research supervision across the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts, Business, Education and Law (SABEL) at Western Sydney University. Developed as the practice-facing companion to the SABEL HDR Supervisory Excellence Framework, the Standards translate the Framework’s research-informed principles into clear expectations for supervisory practice. Each standard provides a rationale, indicators of effective practice, and reflective questions designed to support professional learning, reflective practice, mentoring, supervisory leadership, and the continual enhancement of HDR supervision across SABEL.
