Abstract
A study was conducted to determine in a group of contact lens (CL) wearers, if scales, crusts on the lid margins are associated with increased incidence of bacteria in comparison to normal eye lids. During the study, subjects were monitored frequently and lower lid swabs were conducted at baseline and at 3, 6, 9 and 12 month visits. The resultant data were analyzed in detail.
