Abstract
The creative economy is a vital sector that contributes significantly to the economic and social well-being of many regions. The Blue Mountains in New South Wales, Australia, is a region with a thriving creative sector, including art galleries, cultural venues, and music festivals. Through three case studies, this paper highlights the diversity and vibrancy of the creative economy in the Blue Mountains. It discusses the challenges faced by creative industries in the region, and how these challenges can be addressed through policy and community initiatives. The paper also investigates the role of visual communication such as branding, maps, and social media campaigns. Ultimately, this paper argues that the visibility of the creative economy is essential for promoting and supporting the growth of the creative industries in the Blue Mountains, and for sustaining the region as a hub for creative talent.
