    Abstract

It is known that Australian poet Kevin Hart is a religious poet and his works contain ideas of negative theology. It is also noted that European philosophy has had some sort of congeniality with Hart's poetry. Here, Zhang argues that Hart's poetic creations is congenial to Emmanuel Levinas's ideas. In Levinas's works, religious ideas of Unity and Trinity and the highest being find no direct expressions in some of Hart's poems, but the religious cycle or paradigm of God coming down to the secular world and ascending to Paradise can be found in both the French philosopher's and Australian poet's works.
