Abstract
Sharawadji, an installation, was the result of a research project which considered how conceptualising the ontology of sound might influence sound design. The Sharawadji effect is characterised as a "arising in a situation of rupture, where perceptive confusion gives way to an inexplicable aesthetic pleasure". This installation work focuses on the aesthetic aspects of spatial presentation of sound. It attempts to isolate this aspect amongst all the other potential compositional devices associated with sound works
