Abstract
Shearing Time is a tribute to British-born pianist and US resident George Shearing and his 'Shearing Sound' in particular, use of parallel hand movement (locked hands style) and harmonies. The piece has nothing to do with sheep. Thanks to Sasha Marker for double bass advice. The piece is dedicated to double bass player Annie Mitchell and pianist Bob Howlett.
