Abstract
Not everything happens for a reason. Some things are somewhat random, or align in imperfect ways, sometimes complementarily and at others inscrutably. In a sense this describes Robyn Hitchcock's songwriting, where stories are seldom linear and metaphors are as far-fetched as those of beat writer Richard Brautigan.
