Abstract
Adolescents represent "ground zero" in the fight against the multigenerational obesity epidemic because they are the eventual parents of the next generation. Improvement in the health habits and resultant adiposity of today's adolescents and young adults may be our best chance of improving the health of future generations because prevention appears much better than treatment of obesity.
