Abstract

Bangladesh is an overpopulated country with its limited resources. About 72% people of the village are affected with different kinds of socio-economic problems like poverty, unemployment, malnutrition, maternal and child mortality etc. Rural Social Service (RSS) is an important government program for rural community development that follows the principles and strategies of community development approach of Social Work. This paper attempts to explore the prospects and social capital mobilization in RSS program on the basis of secondary data. Therefore, it concludes with some recommendations to enhance social capital mobilization in RSS program for rural community development in Bangladesh.
