Social work podcasting scholarship: constructing, researching, and publishing

This chapter will present a way forward for social work content podcasting by presenting the co-creation of podcasts as a pedagogy and research methodology that addresses the previous theoretical underpinnings and conceptual discussions outlined in the book so far. It discusses various collaborative methodologies such as digital storytelling, participatory action research, phenomenological research, and the anthropological notion of studying sideways, to address how podcasting can not only be considered as a pedagogical tool or a product but can also be understood as a research methodology, thereby constructively imbedded in an academic perspective of social work education.
