Abstract
Randomised controlled trials, comparisons, cohort and case controlled studies that assessed the effectiveness of various solutions, techniques and pressure for wound cleansing were considered. Additionally studies involving adults or children and those describing objective or subjective measures of wound infection and healing were included.
