For soprano, mezzo soprano, clarinet/bass clarinet, piano, bilma (clapsticks), violoncello. Duration: ca. 17 min. Music set to a selection of poems by David Campbell. "Songs of stone and silence was written for the new music ensemble, Halycon, and supported by a commission from Ars Musica Australis. It was first performed at the Aurora Festical 2008, Sydney on 11 April 2008"--Programme note.
