Abstract

Composite shear walls are currently being increasingly used in the construction of building, because they can fully exert the advantages of steel and concrete. Therefore, they have better dynamic behavior than the traditional reinforced concrete shear wall such as ductility and ability of dissipating energy. This paper briefly introduces some new kinds of composite shear walls and gives a state of the art review of them. Finally, key issues are discussed in the research of dynamic behavior of them.
