    Abstract

    This chapter explores the interrogation of individuals suspected of terrorism. The chapter will consider the sociopolitical context of terrorist interrogation, its impact upon the interrogative methods used, the risks associated with certain (in particular aggressive) interrogative methods, and methods that may mitigate these risks. The chapter begins by briefly introducing the concept of interrogation before considering the sociopolitical context of terrorism and the impact this may have upon those who are required to interrogate terrorist suspects.
