Abstract
When one thinks of "excellence", one thinks of the best possible quality, continued improvement and superiority. As psychiatrists practicing in Australia and New Zealand, we should all be striving to provide the best possible quality of care to our patients, we should be continuing to improve with continuing professional development and we should be leaders in our field both locally and internationally. Australasian Psychiatry is in a unique position to promote excellence in the practice of psychiatry in Australasia and beyond.
