Abstract
We carried out focus groups and individual interviews with a total of 42 first year students across different disciplines and campuses (including UWS College). This paper summarises a thematic analysis of the transcripts. The themes are grouped under three categories: institution- Â"Âled aspects of technology, academic- Â"Âled use of technology and student- Â"Âled uses of technology. Below each summary comment there are some illustrative quotes. The final page lists the number of comments coded for each of the major themes identified.
