Abstract

This chapter addresses the significance of considering both the level and importance of various dimensions of community wellbeing and quality of life (QOL) within rural contexts. Existing studies often focus on either the satisfaction with different aspects of community life or the importance of these aspects for overall community wellbeing. However, there is a lack of systematic examination that combines both aspects. The authors argue that it is crucial for researchers, planners, and communities to integrate both the level and importance of these dimensions to gain a comprehensive understanding of community well-being.
