Abstract

We emphasised that children and young people in Greater Western Sydney continue to face structural inequities that limit their opportunities to thrive. Our submission argued that government policy must move beyond consultation towards genuine partnership with young people, while addressing the interconnected challenges of housing, transport, education, health, public space and employment. We called for place-based investment, measurable equity outcomes and stronger mechanisms to ensure every young person can participate fully in community life.
