Submission to Inquiry into Australia's Human Rights Framework

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

This submission presents arguments across some key domains, for a new Human Rights Framework be enacted, as per the model suggested by the Australian Human Rights Commission: and that the centrepiece of this should be a Human Rights Act, preferably operating in conjunction with the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Human Rights. Having a renewed Human Rights Framework and a Human Rights Act would provide a yardstick, against which policies and programs could be measured.
